The Federal Reserve System plays a critical role in the economy by operating a nation-wide electronic payments and information delivery network which has over 10,000 financial institution customers and transacts over 70 million payments daily, valued at more than $4 trillion.

We are seeking candidates for a Sales Specialist role that will support customers including banks, credit unions, retailers, payments processors and other financial services firms in the use of Federal Reserve Financial Services products.

Job Location

The position will be 100% remote

Job Summary

Consults with senior level management at financial institutions in the provision of the Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) function and performs duties of Account Executives in their absence. Coordinates, conducts, and documents advanced and/or complex analysis for FRFS customers and management. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing customer needs and matching with available FRFS services, resolving or referring customer inquiries, assisting customers with completion of set-up tasks following completion of a sale, identifying and handling sales opportunities, and coordinating service offerings/products for de novo (new bank) or complex merger activities. The level of work is considered advanced and staff must be able to work independently under minimal supervision. This position may lead or direct the work of junior staff, but has no direct reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Consults with current or potential customers regarding the use of Fed services

· Coordinates with customers on service set-up or resolution, including acting as an escalation contact in resolving or referring customer inquiries, identifying potential sales leads, and initiating service change requests

· Uses independent service knowledge to implement new services and explain all services to customers. Acts as the Account Executive when the Account Executive is unavailable. This includes completing required paperwork, logistical set-up tasks, etc., as required by applicable operations and/or business lines following the purchase of a Federal Reserve (FR) product or service

· Coordinates de novo or merger activities including, but not limited to, securing and reviewing proper documentation and agreements for completeness and accuracy; coordinates service changes; facilitates meetings between customer and required operations and/or business lines; and follows up on outstanding issues

· Contributes to the completion and documentation of advanced and/or complex sales projects; coordinates medium to large projects on behalf of the department and/or participates in larger District/System strategic projects

· Serves as customer point of contact for support issues as needed. Provides information on FR services, pricing, and agreement completion. Understands and effectively navigates FR customer support infrastructure to resolve moderately complex problems

· Gathers and reports on customer information in support of service enhancements, promotional programs, market research, and product development needs

· Accountable for FRFS revenue and strategic goal achievement

· May assist in the planning and execution of conferences and meetings including securing meeting space, developing invitations and conference correspondences, managing staff members involved with the event and other related tasks

· Provides training and work direction to junior staff as needed or assigned

· Performs other duties as assigned

Senior Sales Specialist Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

• Five plus years’ experience preferred

• FedCRM experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills

• Advanced customer service and sales skills

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work/deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Possesses and applies detailed knowledge of at least six FRFS products and services and solid knowledge of all products and services

• Strong team orientation and collaboration skills

• Service oriented and flexible to meet changing business needs

Sales Specialist Requirements

Education and Experience

• Associates degree or equivalent experience required

• Three plus years’ experience preferred

• FedCRM experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills

• Demonstrated customer service and sales skills

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work/deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Possesses and applies detailed knowledge of at least two FRFS products and services and solid knowledge of all products and services

• Strong team orientation and collaboration skills
