Position Summary and Responsibilities

.

Teledyne Controls has an exciting opportunity as a Senior Assembler Prototype in our Production division. Under general supervision, this position will performing all phases of rework, electronic component replacements on thru-hole and Surface Mount Assemblies, harnessing projects and minor mechanical assembly.

Key Functions

  • Perform complex harnessing/cabling assembly functions

  • Wire-crimping, wire-cutting, wire-stripping, wire-routing, wire-soldering, wire-splicing

  • Populate connectors

  • Solder components

  • Coax, cable, wire termination

  • Responsible for new development projects, including prototype builds

  • Perform critical measurements and precise wire-cutting

  • Familiar with wiring methods, contacts, cage-codes, and associated symbols.

  • Interpret drawings Wire Lists and blueprints

  • Operate microscope and hand tools

  • Mentor lower-level assemblers

  • Identify design errors

  • Meets production deadlines and targets.

  • Familiar with production environment

Qualifications

.

Required

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

  • One (1) year certificate from college or technical school in Electronics

  • At least a minimum of four (4) to ten (10) years’ of related experience and/or training, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Application tools: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Ability to operate fine precision tools, such as calipers and measuring devices

  • Ability to use torque tools, scissors, cutters, hand tools

  • Ability to monitor material shelf life

  • Ability to interpret drawings
