Job Description:

Research and Development TechnicianQualifications:

  • Bachelor required in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Biology, etc.

  • Work experience with scanning electronic microscopy(SEM) is highly preferred.

Research and Development TechnicianResponsibilities:

  • With guidance from supervision and within established procedures, conducts routine research laboratory activities, information/data management activities or operates small scale production equipment in support of research and development.

  • Identifies and suggests improvements in methods, plans projects of limited duration and scope, troubleshoots when erroneous or unexpected results occur.

  • Responsible for producing research experimental results, or information/data management results, or assembling and configuring of small scale production equipment and control systems in a timely fashion utilizing a variety of techniques, effectively documenting findings and communicating results.

  • Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following laboratory work:

  • Prepare chemical solutions and dilutions to precise specifications for experiments

  • Conduct chemical experiments • Accurately document observations and experimental results

  • Maintain inventory records of supplies and raw materials, and prepare requisitions as needed

  • Support chemists and work with QC lab for sample analyses

  • Set up and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments

  • Assists and supports with special project

  • Participating in lab problem solving and troubleshooting

  • Practicing lab hygiene and following safety procedure

  • Safely manage chemical waste per regulatory standards

  • Maintain safe work environment IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING BACKGROUND: • Experienced analytical biochemist with direct QC laboratory experience in academia and industry for 4 years in total. • Proficient at operating chemical synthesis, research protocols design, cell culture, and various analytical instruments, including HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, and UV-Vis spectrophotometer. • Strong computer skills, writing skills, and the ability of literature review including write/edit SOPs. • Strong team and time awareness. No any work restriction • Systematically analyzed chemical properties of emulsions, including the stability, temperature effect, pH, particle size, the viscosity, and the cationic surfactant ratio. • HPLC to ensure the quality of drugs under the guidance of GLP. • Separated target products through operating chromatography, and various optical analytical instruments • Accomplished the cell culture independently, and separated target products by using various purification instruments, such as HPLC, ion-exchange resin, ultra-filtration, and centrifugation.
