Robert Half Accountemps Customer Service Representative in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Position: Customer Service Representative Location: Kalamazoo, MI Hours: Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM Compensation: $13.50-$14.95

Job Description: Banking client in Kalamazoo, MI seeking candidates for a Customer Service Representative position. This role will be supporting mostly web-based applications for clients and handling 30-40 inbound calls from clients on a daily basis. May have to use internal systems to find answers to problems for the clients and will transfer escalated calls to another department. Will be working in a large team environment and using internet/browsers/Microsoft Office/Excel/Outlook. Training is 4-6 weeks and candidate will go to classroom trainings, hands on training, and evaluate experienced representatives. Someone who is not confident with technology would not be a good fit for this position.

Job Duties: ? Responsible for interacting with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints. ? Resolve customers? service or billing complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, and adjusting bills ? Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments ? Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation ? Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken

Desired Qualifications: ? Customer service experience ? High School Diploma or equivalent ? 5 to 7 years customer service related experience required ? Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service skills and interpersonal skills ? Ability to work independently and manage one?s time ? Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information ? Previous experience with computer applications, such as MS Outlook or data entry software
