Job Details:

The telemedicine program utilizes digital systems such as computers, the internet, and telecommunications for the delivery of healthcare services; namely, health assessments, consultations and follow-ups. It allows healthcare providers to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients without the need for an in-person visit, providing patients with a higher quality of life during their cancer care. The aim of the program is to develop comprehensive center-wide telemedicine services to enhance the ability of providers to care for their patients while improving the lives of cancer patients during their treatment. You will work with a dynamic team of providers, information systems experts, data analysts, and health informatics personnel to aid in the development of this exciting new care initiative. We are seeking a Project Coordinator to support our Teleoncology initiatives.

  • Able to identify, communicate and escalate project potential problems, delays, risks on a timely basis to the telemedicine team before they surface and become an issue for project delivery.

As a Project Coordinator, you will:

  • Initiate plans, develop and conduct project methodologies to facilitate center initiatives and fulfill programmatic needs.

  • Sustain project work flows and timelines, ensuring deadlines and achievements are met.

  • Follow up on action items identified by leadership.

  • Prepare reports on current projects and maintains databases/files for all special projects.

  • Understand external regulations as well as MSKCC policies and procedures and interprets their implications for the project and make recommendations.

  • Perform all administrative duties for scientific and development meetings; planning, budget development, reimbursement and payments.

  • Keep leadership abreast of progress and project status and assist in preparing updated presentations.

  • Together with investigator and/or Administrator, collaborate with research project teams within MSK and external institutions to address research issues by planning, coordinating and monitoring research activities

  • Act on inquiries or problems on behalf of the PI, e.g., investigating the problem, capturing the necessary information, working closely with the appropriate internal and external contacts, etc. and resolving independently when appropriate

  • Coordinate project timelines and follows up on action items to ensure they are completed on time.

  • Provide necessary documentation for regulatory agencies. Identify what is needed, draft any needed documents or revise existing documentation.

  • Serve as primary liaison and contact for assigned projects involving the Institution.

  • Obtain, organize, analyze and communicate data necessary for fulfilling research needs; make recommendations regarding research operations based on analysis of information.

You have:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree plus 2-4 years of related experience; Masters preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Demonstrated analytical skills.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • A high degree of integrity.

  • Demonstrated ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines.

  • Project management skills.
