What You’ll Do:
The right person for the job will be joining the growing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team within Commercial Technology. As a member of this team, you will continue to drive the culture of engineering empowerment. You'll play an integral role in enabling developer productivity and velocity through an automated microservices ecosystem. This platform is rooted in the principle of infrastructure as code and is constantly evolving and integrating new and interesting technologies. You’ll be expected to bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, encourage innovation, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, self-organization, and diversity.
As a member of the team, you will be driving our engineering culture, by building, evangelizing and supporting the environments used by Commercial Tech engineers. You’ll have the chance to drive the development experience on the bleeding edge of cloud technologies. Administer highly-available Kubernetes and AWS ECS clusters for microservice application container orchestration
Drive adoption of Ansible, Terraform, AWS Cloud formation on new projects
Automate as much “toil” and “busywork” as possible
Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
Build testing, logging, and monitoring components to improve operational visibility for services
Work with our internal business and technical partners to solicit feedback to further enhance our platform
CI/CD pipeline management for infrastructure components
Bachelors degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience programming in Go, Python, Java, or Node.js
At least 1 year of experience designing and building microservices
At least 1 year of experience working in an agile team environment
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Jenkins
Experience with AWS/Public Cloud
